The Founder
Sharon is no stranger to the world of property, having run a successful lettings portfolio for over a decade and renovating two of her own homes – the most recent being a Grade II Listed pub conversion to residential. But it was the long career as a project manager, delivering multi-million-pound business transformation projects across the globe, that laid the foundations for Sharon’s leadership role in Phoenix Lakes. She recognised that building a proficient, experienced and well-matched team was crucial to the business’s success;
“Recruiting the right team has been so important for Phoenix Lakes. We’re effectively recycling existing buildings – this requires a very specific skillset, especially when it comes to heritage features, and I’m thrilled to have such a great team around me who can maximise the value of these amazing properties.”
Today, Sharon’s creative, entrepreneurial and business skills remain much in demand, and she enjoys mentoring other entrepreneurs as well as developing investor relations by working closely with Phoenix Lakes’ exclusive panel of private investors. As she says, the opportunities are abundant:
“The huge number of redundant commercial properties around at present have significant scope to be converted into highly attractive residential units. It’s that transformation that really appeals to me; the amazing feeling that comes from creating a beautiful home from something that currently people have little or no use for. And that we can use to enhance peoples’ wellbeing for generations to come.”
With Sci-Fi filmmaking as her other passion, her creativity is regularly put to good use!
